Please look through the information below to choose which charity you think should recieve the donation. The names are linked to that charity's website if you want more information. I have attempted to stick with international charities, as this is an international project and I do not want a disproportionate representation of any one country to bias the outcome.
Amnesty International:
This charity aims to promote general awareness of human rights and oppose specific abuses of human rights, e.g. torture, the death penalty, involving children in armed conflicts, etc.
Barnado's
Barnardos works with children who face barriers in realising their full potential, due to poverty, abuse, neglect, bereavement, violence and special needs. They aim to keep disabled and disadvantaged children and young people in their own homes wherever possible by helping their families and communities to cope more effectively.
Oxfam
Oxfam International is a confederation of twelve non-governmental organizations working together in more than 80 countries to find lasting solutions to poverty, suffering and injustice. They fund development projects, provide emergency relief in times of crisis, and campaign for social and economic justice.
Muscular Dystrophy Association
The MDA's purpose is to support worldwide research at hundreds of universities and hospitals to find the causes and cures or effective treatments for 40 neuromuscular diseases.
The Nature Conservancy
Their goal is to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.
Variety International
This charity is devoted to assisting children who may be physically, mentally or emotionally challenged or who are experiencing difficulties due to social or economic reasons. Each year, Variety supports thousands of children by funding organizations or projects dedicated to children with special needs. The world-renowned Variety Village is our flagship project providing adaptive physical recreation and integrated sports programs for both physically challenged and able-bodied persons.
Women At Risk
Women at Risk is a charity working to meet the needs of women who are in desperate need. These include violence, abuse, rape, depression, health issues, language and literacy problems.
World Society for the Protection of Animals

WSPA aims to promote humane education programmes to encourage respect for animals and responsible stewardship, and laws and enforcement structures to provide legal protection for animals.
